Guest Lecture "Thoracic Surgery, the Past, Present, and Future"

 

Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Specialist Study Program (BTKV) Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, invited Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Paul L. Tahalele, Sp. B, Sp. BTKV. Subsp. VE(K) who is Chair of the Indonesian Association of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery (HBTKVI) and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Widya Mandala University, Surabaya, for giving lectures and discussions on the latest developments in the field of Thoracic Surgery in Dr. A A. Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine Building, Denpasar. (6/4/2023)

 

The purpose of holding this event is to be able to provide new experiences and insights for students and lecturers, as well as help improve the quality of education and research in the field of Thoracic Surgery.

 

Also through this program, students and lecturers will be able to gain new knowledge and experience from leading experts and practitioners in the field of BTKV. Thus, it is hoped that students and lecturers will be more prepared and competent in facing future challenges, and be able to make a greater contribution to the development of science and technology in the field of BTKV

 

The event began with remarks from Plt. The Coordinator of the Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Specialist Program FK Unud, Dr. dr. Ketut Putu Yasa, Sp.B., Sp.BTKV., Subsp.VE(K), FICS and was opened directly by the Dean of FK Unud, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes. On this occasion the Dean expressed his hope that the BTKV study program could make a contribution to equalize BTKV services in Indonesia.

 

After it was opened, the event continued with presentations by resource persons which were continued with discussion sessions which were attended by all participants from among the lecturers and specialist program students.
