Denpasar — Udayana University, through the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M), organized the event “Accreditation Acceleration 4.0: From the New Policy (Regulation No. 39/2025) Towards Optimal High-Quality Data Through the Integrated SAPTO System,” held over two days in a hybrid format at the Postgraduate Building Hall, Denpasar Campus, on 7–8 December 2025.
The event was attended by Deans, representatives of study programs, units within Udayana University, as well as external participants from Mahasaraswati University, Bali Tourism Polytechnic, and OTC Gianyar Polytechnic.
In his report, the Acting Head of LP3M Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Alit Karyawan Salain, DEA, emphasized that this activity is an important part of the continuous quality improvement efforts at Udayana University. He highlighted that policy changes through the Ministerial Regulation of Higher Education, Science, and Technology No. 39 of 2025 and the implementation of the National Accreditation System 2025 require higher education institutions to be well-prepared in compiling accreditation documents that are more comprehensive, valid, and verifiable. “Universities must facilitate capacity-building for their management teams to ensure alignment with the latest standards, especially ahead of Udayana University’s reaccreditation process, which will conclude in December 2026,” he stated.
He further stressed the importance of this activity in harmonizing the understanding of all accreditation teams. “Through this initiative, we expect all participants to gain comprehensive understanding and be able to implement it in preparing institutional accreditation documents, enabling the university to maintain its ‘Excellent’ accreditation status and strengthen its quality culture,” he added.
Two expert speakers from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), Prof. Tjokorde Walmiki Samadhi, Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Slamet Wahyudi, S.T., M.T., were present to provide in-depth insights into accreditation policies, enhancements to SAPTO 2.0, and strategies for developing accreditation documents that are more comprehensive and performance data–driven.
In his opening remarks, Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., underscored the importance of this event as a response to evolving national accreditation policies. “Accreditation is no longer solely about fulfilling administrative documentation requirements; it now demands measurable, transparent, and accountable quality consistency. Therefore, the ability to produce valid, data-based accreditation documents is crucial,” he said. He also noted that this activity is part of the university’s strategic efforts to maintain its Excellent Accreditation status, which will lapse in December 2026.
The Rector further encouraged all participants to use this forum as a space for collaboration and capacity building. “Quality in higher education is our moral responsibility. I hope this activity will reinforce our quality culture and generate well-directed follow-up actions for continuous quality improvement,” he added.
Through the implementation of “Accreditation Acceleration 4.0,” Udayana University affirms its commitment to remain adaptive to the dynamics of higher education policies and to strengthen internal readiness for the upcoming accreditation cycle.
