Udayana University Participates in the Runway of Dekranasda Bali Fashion Week 2025 Session 2

Denpasar, 5 December 2025 – Udayana University (Unud) took part in Dekranasda Bali Fashion Week 2025 Session 2, held from 2–8 December 2025 at the Ksirarnawa Building, Bali Cultural Park. This event showcases Bali’s top fashion products initiated by the Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) of Bali Province.

Udayana University’s fashion show segment took place on Friday, 5 December 2025. The participation involved representatives of students, lecturers, and educational staff as a form of full support for the creativity and works of the university’s academic community in the field of fashion and the creative economy.

The event was officially opened by the Chairperson of Dekranasda Bali Province, Mrs. Putri Koster, on 2 December 2025. In her remarks, she stated that Dekranasda plays a role in quality control while fostering human resource development in the fields of fashion and craftsmanship. Through fashion shows and exhibitions, MSMEs are encouraged to enhance product quality and entrepreneurial spirit. She concluded her speech by emphasizing their commitment with the statement:

“We always believe in doing small things sincerely, with great love.”

Meanwhile, the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, expressed his appreciation for the organization of Bali Fashion Week as a concrete effort to increase the use of local products, strengthen local capabilities, and reinforce Bali’s globally recognized identity.

The Daily Chair of Dekranasda Bali Province, I Gusti Ngurah Wiryanata, who also serves as the Head of the Provincial Industry and Trade Office, noted that the event provides direct benefits for designers and MSME players. With the theme “Wastra Hitakara”—which conveys both beauty and benefit—visitors can enjoy a one-stop shopping experience, from jewelry, crafts, and artisan products to ready-to-wear fashion created by local designers.

Unud’s participation in this event is expected to further strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and regional government in developing a Bali culture–based creative industry, while also providing opportunities for students to showcase innovation on a professional stage.
