ALSA LC Unud Delegation Wins Third Place in the Airlaw Negotiation Competition
Denpasar – The Airlaw Competition is a national-level negotiation competition organized by Universitas Airlangga and is considered one of the most prestigious platforms for law students in Indonesia. The competition is designed to test participants’ ability to understand contemporary legal issues and formulate effective negotiation strategies. In 2025, the Airlaw Competition adopted the theme “Technology Transfer and Local Energy Policies: Navigating Investment Regulations,” which challenged participants to analyze the dynamics of energy policy while grasping the complexities of investment law frameworks.
This competition serves as an important platform for students to develop legal reasoning, argumentation skills, and persuasive approaches in solving legal problems. Through a series of negotiation simulations, intensive discussions, and rigorous assessments by competent judges, the delegates were able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the issues at hand and present comprehensive and well-measured legal solutions.
In this context, the ALSA LC Unud delegation achieved an impressive accomplishment by winning third place. The ALSA LC Unud delegates — I Gede Karang Bagus Prema Thyaga (2023) and Made Chandra Monica (2023) — successfully showcased their academic excellence and negotiation skills throughout the competition. This achievement was officially announced during the 2025 Airlaw Competition awarding ceremony, held virtually on Friday, November 21, 2025. This success not only brings pride to ALSA LC Unud but also serves as motivation for other students to continue excelling in national legal competitions.
