Master of Health Law Study Program Receives Visit from BAN-PT Assessors for Accreditation Field Assessment

Denpasar – The Master of Health Law Study Program, Postgraduate Program of Udayana University, underwent a Field Assessment for Accreditation conducted by the Assessor Team from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The assessment took place at the Postgraduate Auditorium, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Friday (October 17, 2025).

The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, BAN-PT Assessors, Deans, Director and Deputy Director of the Postgraduate Program, Heads of Institutes, Coordinators of Postgraduate Study Programs, Task Force teams and supporting staff, as well as other invited guests. The assessors present for the accreditation assessment were Prof. Dr. Nanik Tri Hastuti, S.H., M.Hum. and Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.Hum.

During the event, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. I Nengah Sujaya, explained that Udayana University currently has 135 study programs across 13 faculties and one Postgraduate Program. “The Postgraduate Program operates in two forms: multidisciplinary programs are managed under the central Postgraduate Program, while monodisciplinary programs are managed directly by their respective faculties. This structure helps maintain clear academic alignment, although the core principles remain the same,” he said.

He further stated that currently, around 60 percent of study programs at Udayana University have achieved Excellent (Unggul) accreditation status. “Our target as a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) is to reach 80 percent of programs with Excellent accreditation. Therefore, we kindly request constructive feedback from the assessors, especially on areas that can help improve the quality of this study program undergoing accreditation,” he added.

Prof. Sujaya emphasized that the accreditation process is not something new for the university. However, there are still aspects that require valuable input from the assessors, who possess deep understanding of the various criteria and indicators of accreditation. “We hope this feedback will enable us to manage and improve the study program more effectively in the future. Please grant the assessors full access to the necessary data and systems. Hopefully, the assessment process will run smoothly, with full access to data and support from USDI, ensuring the accreditation proceeds efficiently and effectively,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Chair of the BAN-PT Assessor Team, Prof. Dr. Nanik Tri Hastuti, S.H., M.Hum., stated that, as the Vice Rector mentioned, this field assessment serves as a mechanism to gain external insights or an objective picture in accordance with the university’s self-evaluation. “There are several matters for which we may request clarification or confirmation from the Master of Health Law Study Program and the Managing Unit (UPPS). Therefore, if there are any additional data or information, we hope they can be provided, and we highly appreciate the cooperation from all parties,” she said.
