LP3M Udayana University Holds Socialization of Independent Learning Guidebook for Independent Campus (MBKM)

Denpasar - The Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of Udayana University held a Socialization of Guidebooks and Curriculum Adjustment to Support Independent Learning at the Independent Campus (MBKM) of Udayana University at the Meeting Room of dr. A A. Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Wednesday (25/5/2022).

The socialization was opened by the Rector of Udayana University and attended by the Chair and Secretary of LP3M, Deans, Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, UP3M Faculties, Coordiants of S1, TPPM Study Programs, MBKM Coordinator, LP3M Team and the MBKM Guidebook Preparation Team. The material presented related to the MBKM guidebook and curriculum adjustments to support MBKM presented Prof. Dr. Ir. G.P. Men's Doubles and moderator I Wayan Gede Astawa Karang, S.Si., M.Si, Ph.D.

Chairman of the Committee Prof. Ganda Putra said that his party had completed the finalization of the revised draft of the MBKM guidebook. The revision was carried out because there were several policies that were preceded by changes to the Rector's Regulation regarding the management of MBKM at Udayana University which in its derivatives needed to be revised to the MBKM guide book. The Rector's Regulation also states the structure of the MBKM supporting curriculum, so it is necessary to socialize these two things, considering that there were obstacles in implementation during the previous two years regarding the conversion of courses. The new structure is expected to accommodate MBKM implementation, making it easier to convert courses. Continuing from the socialization related to the curriculum, the Study Program Coordinator is expected to be able to make improvements or adjustments which will later be reviewed by the LP3M Team.

Starting his speech Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara expressed his appreciation for the performance of the LP3M Team and all parties involved, so that Unud achieved the accreditation of an EXCELLENT university. This is a big capital to move further. Regarding the implementation of MBKM at Udayana University, the activities are carried out by two units, namely academic and student affairs. For this reason, there is a need for synchronization between the two related work units, so as not to overlap, so that the implementation of the MBKM program can run as determined. As is known, the performance contract related to MBKM for 2021 is not encouraging enough, for that we must do something to improve the system, so an MBKM coordinator is appointed to coordinate all things related to MBKM so that it can be completely recorded. Meanwhile, LP3M in this case has an important role according to its main functions, where previously units translated the MBKM program separately and made their own guidelines, causing confusion among MBKM participating students.
