Rector of Udayana University Laying the First Stone for the Construction of the Dean of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries

Friday (13/05/2022), Rector of Udayana University, Prof.Dr.Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.IPU. attended the Groundbreaking Procession in the construction area of ​​the dean of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries at the Bukit Jimbaran campus.

This event was also attended by the Vice Rector II for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Bagus Wiksuana, S.E., M.S., Dean of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Nuarsa, M.Sc. As well as the leadership and ranks of PT. Karya Mandiri Teknik Sentosa has always been the contractor and developer of the construction of the FKP dean building.

In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University said that the implementation of this groundbreaking event was a historic day for Udayana University. "I laid the first stone for the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (FKP) of 25 series of infrastructure development processes at Udayana University which will last for the next few years," said Prof. Gde Between.

The process of building the dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries costs Rp. 14.6 Billion which is planned to be completed within 150 days. The construction of the FKP building to be built consists of 4 floors, equipped with various supporting facilities for lectures, including the dean's room, multipurpose room, laboratory, computer room, lecture room and other supporting facilities. In addition to building the FKP Dean Building, there will be construction of a dental and oral hospital at Udayana University, Lecturers Building, Dean Building for other faculties, Central park and others.

“Hopefully FKP can grow and develop with adequate nutrition. I understand why this FKP was created, because I see the export potential of our marine products through Benoa Harbor which is very large, so it is important to build FKP to meet the need for superior human resources for the marine industry in Bali and Indonesia. In response to this, it is important to build educational facilities such as buildings to support the creation of a good learning climate for future marine and fishery experts,” said Prof. Gde Between.

In line with that, the Dean of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Nuarsa, M.Sc., also said that the construction of the FKP Building was the first step for improving the quality of education at the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

"Our hope is that from the construction of this dean's building, hopefully it can be a new spirit for us, both lecturers and other educators, to be able to improve the quality of educational services for students at the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. With the support of good facilities, the quality of education will increase and become better,” continued Prof. I Wayan Nuarsa.

The laying of the first stone for the construction of the Dean of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries at Udayana University is the first ceremonial effort to build 8 other Faculty Dean Buildings on the Bukit Jimbaran Campus. This is the first step for Udayana University in carrying out the mission of centralizing quality and centralized education services, namely at the Udayana University Campus in Bukit Jimbaran.
