Commemorating Republic of Indonesia Independence Day, The Faculty of Medicine Echoing Togetherness Spirit

Commemorating the 74th Indonesia Independence Day, the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University held a flag ceremony in the Sudirman Campus area of ​​Denpasar, Saturday (08/17/2019). The Medical Faculty academic community follows the flag ceremony wearing Balinese traditional clothes.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, dr. I Ketut Suyasa, wearing traditional Balinese clothes is a form of support for the Bali Province Government's program and at the same time is committed to safeguarding cultural values. Commemorating the independence of Republic Indonesia, it one of effort to continue to build the spirit of togetherness, family, and the spirit of loving the motherland. "The spirit of togetherness, kinship, the spirit of nationalism in the context of forming superior human resources towards advanced Indonesia," he said.

At the end of the event, the Faculty of Medicine carried out book launching "Treatment to Educating Hospital" in an effort to invite the public to seek treatment at  Udayana University Education Hospital. The launching of the book was marked by the submission of the book to the Chairperson of the Senate of the Faculty of Medicine, Director of  Udayana University Hospital, and Coordinator of the Study Program in Eye Health.

Before the flag ceremony was held, the Faculty of Medicine carried out various activities on Sunday (11/8/2019). These activities, such as a leisurely walk, a running competition titled Medical Health Run, a bicycle ornamental race, entertainment, and launching a tumblr as support for the movement to reduce plastic waste.
