Commemorating Kartini Day, Udayana University Political Science Holds a Guest Lecture on Women in the World of Politics

Denpasar, To celebrate Kartini Day, the Political Science Study Program at Udayana University held a Guest Lecture "Women in the World of Politics", online by inviting Dra. I Gusti Agung Putri Astrid Kartika, M.A., as a resource person. (26/04/2022)

This guest lecture was opened by the Coordinator of the Political Science Study Program, Dr. Tedi Erviantono who is also the MC. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si. In his remarks, Nengah Punia hopes that today's activity can provide students with information and a good understanding of gender in politics, one of which is what happened in Bali.

In her presentation, Agung Putri Astrid explained several things, namely the general condition of women in Indonesia, political perceptions, women in legislative institutions, and women in electoral politics.

The activity continued with a discussion that was guided directly by Dr. Kadek Dwita Apriani, S.Sos., M.IP. Various questions were asked by political science students at Udayana University in this interactive discussion session, such as the influence of elections on the gender empowerment index, legal products with a gender perspective, and so on.

The guest lecture ended with the presentation of certificates to the speakers and moderators, as well as a group photoactivity.
