Collaborating with Seva Bhuana Foundation, BEM FKH Udayana Holds Free Sterilization Counseling

 

The Student Executive Board (SEB) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Udayana University officially cooperates with the Seva Bhuana Foundation as partner which will be held in Banjar Taman, Gubug Village, Tabanan. Last Sunday (17/04), the World Veterinary Day (WVD) committee Simultaneously came to visit the banjar which will be used as a base for service activities in the form of free sterilization of local dogs and cats.

 

 

The committee's arrival to Banjar Taman, Gubug Village, Tabanan was spearheaded by the desire to carry out Extension Activities related to Sterilization Services which will be held on Saturday (23/04) to come. The committee's arrival was welcomed with open arms by Mr. Kawil as Kelian Banjar Taman, Gubug Village, Tabanan. "Here there are six areas that can be explored, yesterday I also had the opportunity to inform local residents regarding the sterilization that will be held," said Mr. Kelian Banjar opening the counseling activity.

 

"Now we will notify residents' homes, if next Saturday there will be sterilization activities. For the system, friends will go door to door to each house," said Laras as Chair of the WVD SEB FVM 2022 Activity Committee. Lefira as the event coordinator also participated in giving a briefing regarding important things that must be conveyed during the door to doordoor. The committee not only made notifications, but also collected data on local residents who kept dogs and cats. From the data collection, it is known that 71.1% keep dogs and 13.3% keep cats. and the rest do not have pets.

 

 

The socialization is ended at 13.00 WITA, the entire committee had returned to the Banjar Ambengan Hall which was the meeting point. Arriving there, the entire committee sat in a circle and shared stories and obstacles they faced when visiting people's homes one by one. “The problem is that there are several houses that have no one or do not answer when they are visited. However, we still tuck a flyer at the gate of a resident's house," said Ranti as the person in charge of area one Banjar Taman.

 

 While waiting for Mr. Kelian Banjar to say goodbye to go home, the committee had lunch together and closed with a group photo. "Hopefully the sterilization activity will run smoothly and many will be interested in participating," concluded Mr. Kelian Banjar when the committee said goodbye to return to their respective homes.
