Socialization, Consultation and Legal Assistance regarding Village Fees by the Faculty of Law UNUD in Pupuan Sawah Village

Pupuan Sawah, Tabanan, FLUNUD.ac.id – Faculty of Law UNUD held Community Service on Friday (24/02/2023) at the Pupuan Sawah Village Hall, Tabanan with the theme "Socialization, Consultation and Free Legal Assistance Regarding Village Regulations regarding Village Levies and Prevention of Corruption in Grant Funds to Traditional Villages.” Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Law UNUD (Dr. Desak Putu Dewi Kasih, SH., M.Hum) and Head of Pupuan Sawah Village (I Gusti Putu Suardika, S.Sos.) were present to give remarks as well as open ways of community service.

 

The service activity presented 2 speakers: Dr. Ni Luh Gede Astariyani, SH., MH. and Dr. Ida Bagus Surya Darma Jaya, SH., MH. moderated by I Gusti Agung Ayu Dike Widyaastuti, SH., MH. which was also attended by the Deputy Dean II of the Faculty of Law UNUD, heads and representatives of the Legal Lab/Department, professors, lecturers, educational staff within the Faculty of Law UNUD, Village secretaries and Pupuan Sawah Village officials, Chair of the Village Consultative Body, Pupuan Sawah Village, Office of Oversight or the Pupuan Sawah Regional Head, Head of Office or Kikian Regional Head, Head of Office or Cangkup Head of Regional Office, Head of Office or Head of Laleng Traditional Village, Head of Pupuan Sawah Traditional Village, Head of Kikian Traditional Village, Head of Cangkup Traditional Village, Head of Pengesan Traditional Village, as well as the entire community of Pupuan Sawah Village.

 

Material from the resource persons relates to the importance of drafting village regulations that refer to legal instruments governing villages. In the question-and-answer session, the community and Pupuan Sawah Village apparatus asked about levy funds for business actors who have businesses in the Pupuan Sawah Village area. The two sources and professors who had the opportunity to attend at the time conveyed very well that the village is prohibited from imposing levies on business actors. And it is necessary to pay attention to legal instruments regarding grants to Traditional Villages so that there is no misuse of funds to prevent corruption.
