Udayana University Holds Socialization of the 'Asah' Program
Udayana University organized a socialization session for the "Asah" Program, which was held online via the Zoom Meeting platform on Friday, July 11, 2025. The session was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at Udayana University and featured Mutiara Arumsari from Dicoding as the main speaker. The event was attended by lecturers and students of Udayana University.
Asah, led by Accenture and Dicoding, is an Independent Impact Campus program that offers comprehensive training aimed at developing industry-standard tech talents who are career-ready.
In his opening remarks, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, stated that this event served to socialize the Intensive Learning Program by Dicoding, while also following up on the launch of the latest tech training initiative titled “Asah”, initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The "Asah" program is a significant breakthrough aimed at preparing a generation that is adaptive, innovative, and competitive in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).
Dicoding supports this initiative by providing intensive training for students and lecturers, with the goal of enhancing IT skills, software development abilities, and critical thinking competencies that are highly in demand in today's workforce.
To build competencies and improve competitiveness through this session, the Vice-Rector encouraged the entire academic community to make the most of this opportunity. For lecturers, the program can serve as a tool to enrich teaching materials and support professional development. For students, it’s a valuable chance to participate and leverage each module and training session to expand knowledge and gain practical skills.
“Let us make the ‘Asah’ program a concrete step toward realizing Udayana University as an institution that is excellent, independent, and culturally grounded, capable of preparing adaptive human resources and making Udayana a university that brings wide-reaching impact to society,” said the Vice-Rector.
During her presentation, Mutiara Arumsari expressed appreciation to Udayana University for supporting student participation in various intensive learning programs from Dicoding since 2020. To date, 580 students from Udayana have taken part. She also highlighted that Accenture, a global company based in Ireland with vast experience in large-scale digital transformation, has now joined as co-lead in the "Asah" program.
"Asah" offers 908 hours of intensive learning, aiming to produce career-ready tech talent. In addition to technical skills, the program also equips students with soft skills that are essential for navigating the professional world after graduation.
