Basic Life Support Training and Earthquake Evacuation Simulation in Karangasem

 

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University through the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M) held community service at SDN 2 Bunutan and Banjar Bangle, Amed-Karangasem. (12/11/2022)

 

The event began with socialization and counseling on "Basic Life Support Training and Earthquake Evacuation Training" at SDN 2 Bunutan by Ratna Amelia and Fanny Pramesti from the Janar Duta Medical Assistance Team (TBM) of FK Unud.

 

After the counseling, the event continued with the delivery of basic food assistance and evacuation signs as well as safe gathering points by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D.

The assistance was received directly by the Principal of SDN 2 Bunutan, I Wayan Mujung, S.Pd.SD., who was accompanied by teachers.

 

On this occasion Prof. Ady expressed his gratitude for the welcome from the school and hoped that the information conveyed could be useful for younger siblings as provisions and additional knowledge to learn about disaster preparedness.

 

Meanwhile, the Principal of SDN 2 Bunutan

expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Medicine, who had been willing to visit to provide knowledge about preparedness in disaster management.

 

Meanwhile in a separate place, activities at Balai Banjar Bangle were filled with "Basic Life Support Counseling" by Ns. I Kadek Saputra, S.Kep., M.Erg. which was attended by the Sekehe Teruna Teruni (STT) and the people of Banjar Bangle. In addition to counseling, on this occasion the Faculty of Medicine also handed over assistance to the community. The handover of assistance by the Coordinator of UP2M FK Unud, dr. Agus Eka Darwinata, S.Ked., Ph.D, in the form of basic necessities witnessed directly by I Wayan Sumada as the Village Supervisory Board together with the Teruna Teruni Sekehe (STT) Banjar Bangle.

 

This activity was also attended by the Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, S.Ked., M.Ked., Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Ph.D., Janar Duta TBM supervisor, dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pramesemara, S.Ked., M.Biomed., Sp.And., lecturers and education staff, as well as the Nursing Student Association, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
