Through KKN PPM Unud, TIP Study Program Lecturers Teach Household Waste to be Non-Food Products in Blimbingsari Village, Melaya, Jembrana

Lecturer of Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, Mrs. Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb through the Udayana University Community Service Program PPM teaches the people of Blimbingsari Village, Melaya Jembrana to process household waste, namely used cooking oil into non-food products and increase the village's potential into derivative products in Blimbingsari Village, Melaya , Jembrana. The activity was attended by PKK in Blimbingsari Village which was held at the GKPB Peniel Sunday school building, Blimbing Sari Village.

 

This activity is a series of Community Service Program activities at Udayana University in Blimbingsari Village by holding a socialization on the management of used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles and making solid soap made from coconut oil which is produced in Blimbingsari Village. This socialization was given by KKN PPM Udayana University in collaboration with Lecturer of Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb. These activities include socializing the dangers of used cooking oil and the process of refining used cooking oil, workshops on making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil and workshops on making solid soap made from coconut oil which is the potential of Blimbingsari Village.

 

Mrs. Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb hopes that through this activity it can increase public awareness of health starting from themselves and their families, especially the community is expected to be wise in using cooking oil for cooking. She also hopes that with training and workshops on the use of used cooking oil waste produced in households and optimizing the potential of coconut oil produced in Blimbingsari Village, aromatherapy candles and solid soap products produced are superior products of Blimbingsari Village.
