Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University Signs Research Cooperation With JIRCAS (Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences)

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University is ready to carry out collaborative research with the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS). Today, Friday, July 8th, 2022, a Discussion on the Implementation of Cooperation between Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture with JIRCAS Japan, was held at the Postgraduate Building of Udayana University.

 

This activity was attended directly by Mr. Koyama Osamu President of Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), Dr. Omori Keisuke as Head of Information and Public Relations Office of JIRCAS and was greeted directly by the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation & Information, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes., Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Ustriyana, MM and Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Budiyasa, S.P., M.P. from the Faculty of Agriculture, UP2M Faculty of Agricultural Technology Mrs. Ni Nyoman Sulastri, S.TP., M.Agr., Ph.D., UPIKS Faculty of Agricultural Technology, represented by I Gede Arie Mahendra Putra, S.TP., M.TP.

 

On this occasion, a brief introduction was held regarding JIRCAS and Udayana University in general and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology in particular. In addition, discussions were held regarding the implementation of the Cooperation which was symbolically carried out by submitting an LOI (Letter of Intent) as evidence of the Cooperation between the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture with JIRCAS.

 

Mr. Koyama Osamu President of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) expressed his interest in research related to subak irrigation and he also said that his concern for the research carried out would be to integrate with the G20 and the Food Agricultural System. This was welcomed positively by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., he said that research collaboration related to this is important to carry out and he said that FTP Unud is ready to carry out research collaboration and hopes that through this collaborative activity it can have a positive impact on all parties, he also hopes that the collaboration carried out can continue, not only carrying out collaborations in the field of research, but also carrying out community service collaborations as a continuation of the implementation of research collaborations that have been carried out, he said.
