Lecturer of Food Technology Study Program FTP Unud Together with Udayana Business Incubator Provide Technical Support in 5 Traditional Villages as an Effort to Improve Community Livelihood

Lecturer of the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) Mrs. A.A. Istri Sri Wiadnyani, S.TP., M.Sc. Together with the Unud business incubator, provide technical support in several Traditional Villages for the development of joint businesses in traditional villages as an effort to improve the livelihoods of indigenous village communities. This activity was carried out in 5 traditional villages in the tourist area of ??Badung regency and Denpasar city which were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, namely the Legian Traditional Village, Kesiman Traditional Village, Kuta Traditional Village, Intaran Traditional Village and Tanjung Benoa Traditional Village which had been carried out during April-June. The activity was carried out at the Banjar Hall or the wantilan of the head office of each Traditional Village.

 

This activity is a collaboration between the Kerti Praja Foundation (YKP) and Inbis Unud. Kerti Praja Foundation (YKP) is an institution that works on reproductive health issues, gender-based violence, and disasters based in Denpasar, Bali. YKP, as one of the implementing partners for the SIAP SIAGA program, is currently running the COVID-19 Pandemic Management program based on Traditional Villages in Tourism Areas in Badung Regency and Denpasar City, Bali Province.

 

In this activity, the Lecturer of the Food Technology Study Program of FTP Unud, Mrs. A.A. Istri Sri Wiadnyani, S.TP., M.Sc. was assigned to be a resource person. Some of the material provided for village development is the exploration of village potential in the context of technical support and joint business development. Audiences at the time of exploring the potential of each village were the Village Community Empowerment Service, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade Office, Traditional Village Council, Family Welfare and Empowerment Mobilizing Team (TP PKK), Lurah, Customary Bendesa, LPD, BUPDA and group representatives business / MSMEs and joint business development for business actors with 5 different materials tailored to the needs of business actors such as designing business potential and products, packaging labeling and market research or social media marketing (facilitators).

 

 

Mrs. A.A. Istri Sri Wiadnyani, S.TP., M.Sc as a resource person said that the provision of technical support was adjusted to the purpose of holding this activity, namely Mapping existing businesses in each traditional village, supporting factors, and challenges faced so far, Identifying support needs (especially entrepreneurship training/workshops) needed to developing a business in a traditional village, and Knowing the potential of resources that can be developed into a joint business as well as the existing support in terms of assistance and financing for business continuity. It is also hoped that the outputs generated from this activity are getting an overview of the fields/types of business and their implementation in each traditional village, knowing the support needed so that the businesses that have been carried out in traditional villages can be sustainable and develop and get village potential that can be developed as a form plan. joint efforts in traditional villages, she said.
