TARGETING EXCELLENT, MASTER STUDY PROGRAM OF VETERINARY MEDICINE RECEIVES FIELD ASSESSMENT FROM LAM-PTKES

 

 

Denpasar, LPM SS- The assessment team of the Indonesian Health Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes) made a visitation related to the implementation of a field assessment of the Master of Veterinary Science study program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. The assessor team from LAM-PTKes was represented by Prof. drh. Tutik Wresdiyati, Ph.D. PA Vet- IPB University and Dr. Dr. Joko Prastowo, MSi- Gadjah Mada University. This field assessment is held from Thursday to Saturday, June 23-25, 2022. The implementation of this field assessment is a form of confirmation of the accreditation form data that has been previously sent by the campus. The results of this field assessment will later be used by related institutions to determine accreditation status and accredited rankings.

 

 

The first day of activities began with an opening containing a welcome greeting from the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University: Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha MSi and the Rector of Udayana University represented by the vice rector I, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja who also opened this field assessment activity. Then the opening agenda was followed by remarks from the assessor team. In addition to being attended by the vice rector I, the chairman of (Research Institute) LP2M, LP3M (Quality Insurance Institute) , USDI (Resource and Information Unit), Library of Udayana, and all components of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University were also present.

After the opening agenda is complete, an assessment process is carried out which includes presentations by the head of the study program management unit (dean) and study program (program study coordinator) about the general portrait of the faculty as well as discussions with the assessor team. Then the assessment activities were continued with interviews with the Accreditation Task Force Team and Lecturers.

On the second day of the field assessment, the assessor team again conducted interviews with education staff, students, alumni, and stake holders. The technical implementation of this interview is done offline and online. Furthermore, the field assessment was continued with visits to campus facilities including the Veterinary Health Lab, Pathobiology Lab, Sesetan Biomedical Lab, Sesetan Veterinary Teaching Hospital and learning process facilities and infrastructure.

 

 

On the last day, the assessment results from the assessor team were presented, which was then followed by a discussion of the results of the assessment which included improving the minutes according to changes in the description, preparing the minutes of documents and coaching recommendations. After that, the signing and submission of the minutes as well as the submission of guidance recommendations to the Study Program are carried out. The field assessment event was finally closed by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.

 

 

The chairman of the field assessment of the Master of Veterinary Medicine Study Program, FVM Udayana, Dr. drh. I Gede Soma, M.Kes, expressed the hope that the implementation of this activity would later produce something very useful, namely superior accreditation results. In addition, from this assessment event, it is hoped that the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Udayana University can evaluate what is felt to be lacking so that in the future it will no longer be found and later if there is an re-accreditation process it can remain excellent or even better.
