Udayana University Establishes Collaboration with Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute

Udayana University has established a collaboration with the Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) held at the Nusa Room, Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, on Friday (August 29, 2025). The event was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, the Secretary of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Coordinator of the Office of International Affairs (KUI), and several researchers. Meanwhile, representatives from the Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute included the Director of the Comprehensive Service Center, the Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Service Center, and the Head Commissioner of Two See Media Technologies.

In his remarks, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D., stated that this collaboration represents a significant step towards growth, innovation, and mutual advancement in science and technology between the two institutions and our respective nations. Udayana University, as a leading institution in Eastern Indonesia, is committed to pursuing excellence in education, research, and community service.

“We believe that this partnership will open new avenues for joint research, knowledge exchange, and technological advancements, particularly in the fields of hydrogen energy, advanced materials, and industrial innovation,” said the Rector of Udayana University.

It is hoped that this collaboration will contribute to sustainable development and create meaningful impacts for our society. He also expressed his hope that this partnership will serve as a model for cross-border academic cooperation and innovation, yielding fruitful results and fostering long-term relationships with the Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zhang Dianhui, Director of the Comprehensive Service Center at Tan Kah Kee High Technology Research Institute, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Udayana University. Prior to the visit, his team had already learned about Udayana University’s collaborations with several universities in China.

The visit to Udayana aims to introduce the university’s science park and to bridge cooperation between the two countries. It also seeks to promote technological transformation and innovation, while connecting innovation projects involving both students and faculty members. On this occasion, he also extended an invitation to the entire academic community at Udayana University to collaborate in the fields of technology, innovation, and research.

BRICS SIIP has been appointed by the Chinese government to strengthen international cooperation in technology and innovation. During this meeting, he also planned to further introduce SIIP. Mr. Zhang believes that the signing of this MoU will bring great benefits to both institutions.
