Unud Receives Two Awards Related to Budget Implementation for the First Semester from the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) Bali Province

Denpasar – The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) for Bali Province held a Regional Coordination Meeting on Budget Implementation for the Second Semester of 2025, which took place at the Basement Hall of the State Finance Building I in Denpasar, on Tuesday (August 26, 2025). During this event, awards were also presented to Ministries/Agencies with the Best Budget Implementation Performance Indicators (IKPA) for the First Semester of 2025, as well as to Work Units with the Best Implementation of the Government Credit Card (KKP) for the First Semester of 2025. The awards were presented directly by the Head of the Regional Office of DJPb Bali Province.

Previously, the DJPb Regional Office of Bali Province had conducted an assessment of budget implementation for the First Semester of Fiscal Year 2025 across all Work Units within the Bali Province. This assessment was based on the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 62 of 2023 dated June 20, 2023 concerning Budget Planning, Budget Implementation, as well as Accounting and Financial Reporting, as amended by Regulation Number 107 of 2024.

Based on the results of this assessment, Udayana University (Unud) received two awards: Second Place for the Compilation and Submission of Financial Reports at the UAKPA BLU Level for 2024, and Third Place for the Compilation and Submission of Financial Reports at the UAPPA-W Level (Small Category) for 2024. In addition, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology received Second Place for Best Use of the Government Credit Card (KKP) in the Large Budget Category for Semester I of 2025.

Udayana University Rector, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, accompanied by the Head of BPKU, Drs. I Komang Teken, attended the event in person to receive the awards presented by the Head of the DJPb Regional Office for Bali Province.

In his keynote address, Muhamad Mufti Arkan, Head of the DJPb Regional Office for Bali Province, stated that this activity is not just a regular semester agenda, but an important moment to realign the spirit and direction of our budget implementation so that our budget can perform more synergistically, more disciplined, and more impactfully. “We all know that the State Budget (APBN) is not merely about how much is spent, but how real the benefits are for the people. Therefore, our theme this time is ‘Effectiveness and Efficiency of the State Budget: Sustained Performance, Real Benefits for the People.’ This is not just a slogan but a shared challenge and commitment, because what we manage is not just numbers, but the path of hope and future,” he said.

“We should be grateful because, up to mid-year, the implementation of the State Budget in Bali Province continues to progress on a fairly solid and stable track, even though it has not yet reached optimal speed,” he added.

He also noted that there are several technical challenges, including regulatory issues, lengthy revision processes, efficiency requirements, and delays in the procurement process. “The second semester is a very crucial period—we have no room for delay and need to accelerate execution, ensuring that outputs are achieved on time and the budget is spent in a measurable and quality-driven manner.”

The event also included an evaluation of budget implementation for the First Semester of 2025 by the Head of the PPA I Division and monitoring of the final 2025 budget implementation by the Head of the PPA I C Section of the DJPb Regional Office for Bali Province.

In a separate statement, Udayana University Rector Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana expressed his gratitude for the two awards received by the university for its financial reporting performance in the First Semester. He also conveyed his appreciation for the work of the team, particularly in the finance department, for their dedication in preparing the reports, which led to the achievement of the two awards. The Rector hopes that this performance can continue to improve in the future to realize good and accountable governance, and support Udayana University in its journey toward becoming a State University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH) status.
