LAMEMBA Assessor Team Visits Doctoral Program in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University
Denpasar - The Assessor Team of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business and Accounting (LAMEMBA) conducted a field assessment for accreditation of the Doctoral Program in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University (Unud). The opening of the assessment took place in the Meeting Room of the MM Building, Faculty of Economics and Business, Unud, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Monday (19/5/2025). The assessor team present were Prof. Dr. Euis Soliha, SE., M.Sc and Prof. Dr. Ir. Hartoyo, M.Sc.
Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana in his remarks said that accreditation certainly has a very important meaning for the sustainability of educational institutions in carrying out their vision and mission, as well as a form of quality and quality assessment. One of the urgencies of accreditation is to guarantee the quality and quality of education and graduates. For this reason, Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, continues to make various efforts to obtain accreditation and certification, both nationally and internationally.
The Rector said that the Faculty of Economics and Business is a member of AACSB. Two study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University have received international recognition, namely AUN-QA international certification (Bachelor of Development Economics study program), and ABEST21 international accreditation (Master of Management study program).
In addition, four study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University have also prepared to carry out a FIBAA international accreditation site visit in September 2025. In terms of national accreditation, 10 out of 12 study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University have obtained an A/Excellent accreditation predicate. This is clear evidence of Udayana University's commitment to improving the quality of education and the quality of graduates through accreditation.
In addition to being an indicator or reflection of the quality of education, accreditation also has a major impact on graduates who will enter the world of work, and plays a role in creating a good study climate. With good accreditation quality, all elements or academics will be accustomed to a good education system and climate.
Udayana University, which is currently in the process of becoming a State University-Legal Entity, is also consistently aligned with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology to build a transformative and impactful campus. The concept of the current generation of higher education highlights the role of universities that are developing in society.
"The study program at the doctoral level certainly plays an important role in realizing the social involvement of higher education. So we ensure that all doctoral study programs, including the Doctoral Study Program in Management, are able to organize the high-quality and impactful tridharma of higher education," said the Rector of Unud.
The Rector hopes that the assessors can help us to further capture the condition of the Doctoral Program in Management in order to improve and improve the quality of education at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University.
On this occasion, the Assessor Team expressed their gratitude for the acceptance from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. Through this field assessment, they will clarify if there are still things that need to be clarified and hope that this assessment process can run smoothly. In this assessment process, the Assessor wants to ensure that what is done related to services, related to the governance process and so on is the best which will later produce an education process and produce the best alumni and contribute to society in general.
The opening of the assessment ended with the reading of a joint commitment statement by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Agoes Ganesha Rahyuda, Ph.D which was then continued with the assessment agenda by the Assessor Team.
