Udayana University Invites Village Heads to Come to Campus Through Village Service Seminar V in 2022

Jimbaran - Udayana University through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) held a Village Service Seminar (SBD) V in 2022 in a series with the celebration of the 60th Anniversary with the theme "Strategies for Developing Village Potential as a Source of Village Income to Improve the Welfare of Village Communities". The SBD was attended by Village Heads, Lurah and Bendesa Adat throughout Bali as well as other invitees which took place offline at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Friday (23/9/2022).

The speakers in SBD V are the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Director General of Economic Development and Investment, Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. Harlina Sulistyorini, M.Sc., Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, BBA., MBA., who was present virtually, Director of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives Development, Ministry of National Development Planning/BAPPENAS Dr. Ir. Ahmad Dading Gunadi, MA and Deputy Head of the Bali High Court Teguh Subroto.

Rector of Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.,IPU in his speech said that the development of village potential is something that needs to be considered more seriously. The village potential development strategy is one of the vital things by referring to the Village SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) program.

Unud strongly supports the government's efforts in developing village potential, one of which is through the development of tri dharma, namely community service activities through real work lectures (KKN) which for this year has fielded 4,254 KKN students spread across 194 villages in Bali. For international community service, Unud has also implemented the International Program and Community Engagement (LPPM-IPACOE). Through the implementation of this seminar, it is expected to provide benefits for Village Heads, Village Heads and Indigenous Bendesa, as well as to build collaboration and research networks and community service with the synergy of PENTAHELIX, namely the collaboration of 5 elements, namely: Academician (Academics), Business (Business), Community ( Community), Government (Government) and Media (Media Publications).

The Governor of Bali, who in this case was represented by the Coordinator of the Bali Province Development Expert Group, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Damriyasa, MS said that this seminar was a very important and valuable momentum, not only sharing knowledge and discussing, but also as a form of appreciation from Udayana University to the Village Heads and Lurah Se Bali for their good cooperation so far, especially in the implementation of lectures. real work. The outcomes and impacts of this collaboration are certainly very useful in supporting and succeeding government programs, both the Bali Provincial Government and Regency or City Governments in Bali. For this reason, on behalf of the Bali Provincial Government, the Governor expressed his appreciation to the Village Head and Lurah who have supported the program implemented by Udayana University.

Appreciation is also given to Udayana University regarding the various programs that have been carried out which strongly support the programs of the Bali Provincial government. With the presence of lecturers and students in the village community with various programs through real work lectures and other community services, many things have been done such as socialization, education and mentoring. Of course, this activity is also expected to be integrated with the development programs of the Bali Provincial Government. The direction of Bali's development policies and programs in realizing the vision of Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali through the development pattern of the Planned Universe Towards a New Era of Bali.
