Unud held TOT Entrepreneurship Activity 2018 to Young Entrepreneur in Udayana University Environment

Denpasar - Saturday (24/02/2018), Udayana University organized Training of Trainers (TOT) Entrepreneurship 2018 at Hotel Ibis Styles Denpasar. This activity was held in cooperation between Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development with Bureau of Student Affairs of Udayana University and attended by about 115 lecturers in Udayana University.

Plt. Head of Student Affairs Bureau, I Dewa Gede Oka, as Chairman of the Organizing Committee conveyed this activity is a form of implementation of Entrepreneurship Development Program and Student Career Development through the implementation of TOT Supervising Lecturer. This activity was also one of the efforts to meet the performance targets of the Rector of Udayana University. As a first step, Unud held TOT Entrepreneurship by presenting three resource persons. Dewa Gede Oka hopes TOT can be done well and achieve the goal as expected.

TOT Entrepreneurship is opened by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.Sc. who in his speech conveyed the lecturer of entrepreneurship course through TOT is expected to guide students to create business. Currently tupoksi educational institutions to grow, in addition to knowledge transfer is also be an economic development. Educational institutions are required to participate in improving the economy of a nation. Through TOT is also expected to increase the number of innovation products that related to entrepreneurship. This is to support the achievement of Rector's performance targets that have been set, which refers to 25 indicators of Rector's performance contract. Therefore, cooperation from all parties is expected to advance Udayana University.

Chairman of Unud's Entrepreneurship and Career Development Center, I Gusti Putu Bagus Mananda, SSt.par, MM, Mpar said that currently entrepreneurship lecturers are required to have entrepreneurial skills that will become an example for the students. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development of Unud this year has a target to produce 131 young entrepreneurs within Unud. To achieve this it is expected that the cooperation of lecturers to print young entrepreneurs from among the students, and faculty are expected to have commitment to support entrepreneurship development from the funding side. In addition, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development also plans to gather companies to seek job market information for Unud’s graduates.  (PR)
