Supported by International Partners and International Students, the International Affairs Office of Udayana University Holds an International Community Service: "Sharing Love with the Children of Bali"

The International Affairs Office (IAO) of Udayana University successfully held the international community service event “Sharing Love with the Children of Bali” on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Bali Baby Home Foundation in Gianyar, Bali.

Eighteen international students from Italy, France, Vietnam, Hungary, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom—currently enrolled in non-degree international programs—participated in the event, which reflected a global spirit of generosity, respect, and humanitarian love, making a meaningful impact on the local community in Bali.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, representing the Rector of Udayana University, emphasized the importance of the event in his opening speech as part of the university’s commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service.
“This activity not only reflects the values of education and research but also our dedication to social contribution and humanitarian empathy,” he stated. The Vice Rector also expressed his appreciation to the International Affairs Office for organizing the event and extended gratitude to all sponsors and partners who supported it.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of the International Affairs Office, Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D., stated that the event aimed to cultivate social responsibility and cultural empathy among international students while also providing support to the local community. She expressed her hope that this community service initiative could become an annual event involving international students and partners to strengthen the commitment to making a positive contribution to the island of Bali. She also conveyed her appreciation to partner agencies and event sponsors—Asiana Oriental Service, GoStudy, Griya Lumbung Sari, and Study in Bali—for their dedication in fostering not only academic growth but also empathy and social awareness.
