Reviewing Readiness as a G20 Referral Hospital, Coordinating Minister for PMK RI Visits Udayana University Hospital

Udayana University Hospital received a visit from the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy. This visit was received directly by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M. Eng, IPU and the President Director of Udayana Hospital Prof. Dr. dr. I Dewa Made Sukrama, M.Sc., Sp.MK (K) and his staff at Udayana University Hospital, Monday (23/5/2022). The visit began with a review of several rooms in the ER, then proceeded to radiology to see CT Scan equipment and to review the laboratory room and other equipment in the hospital.

The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture during this visit said that Udayana University Hospital is a hospital that will be determined as a referral hospital for international events and prepared for the G20 meeting, but is also used as a referral hospital in the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) meeting. "I have checked the facilities, they are quite good," he said.

Regarding the facilities and infrastructure for inpatient ICU preparation services, they are also very good and there have been some improvements to bathrooms that are truly safe for patients according to the standards that have been applied to services, especially international hospital services. Besides that, it is also advisable to leave the equipment that is on loan from the medical faculty here so there is no need to withdraw it to the faculty, because if it is withdrawn the time is urgent, especially later there will be a GPDRR, who knows, it requires a quick lab examination.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayana University thanked the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture for reviewing Udayana Hospital, this visit means that there are many programs that we must complete, and this hospital will be used as a reference for the G20. In addition, he has also provided input for the hospital in the future to complete the equipment, infrastructure and other things. Until then, Udayana University participated in the G20 presidency, “We will support it and hopefully it can help. Of course we will make preparations in the context of the G20 and international events," he said.

The President Director of the Unud Hospital also added, we are very ready with human resources consisting of 76 specialists, 300 nurses, 200 beds and in terms of ambulance facilities. The inpatient ICU is ready to receive international events. As for the infrastructure, we will increase it again for international implementation. Human resources are prepared from Udayana University and not from outside, because the Rector's commitment is to improve the quality and quantity in the Udayana University environment.
