UNUD FOLL 'ANNUAL CONFERENCE & EXPO 2018' IN THE UNITED STATES

Udayana University again attended the largest international educational exhibition in Philadelphia USA, May 26 to June 1, 2018, an exhibition organized by the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA), an association of at least 6,400 educators from 1,800 campuses from 100 countries. NAFSA this time was attended by 2,500 educational and non-educational institutions, such as universities, high schools, and education agents, and involved more than ten thousand participants.

The Delegation of Udayana University was led by Udayana University Rector, Prof. Dr. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) with members of delegation Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation Prof. Dr. I B Wyasa Putra, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Dr. I Nyoman Sunarta, and Director of Center for International Program Ni Putu Sri Harta Mimba, Ph.D. In a special interview by NAFSA TV, Prof. Sudewi stated that the participation of Unud in this prominent event aims to maintain good relationships with various cooperation partners in the field of international education and explore cooperation with new partners who want to cooperate with Unud. Unud is an institution of higher education with an extensive network of cooperation, 190 international cooperation and 234 domestic cooperation, including educational institutions, government and private. Unud is also a university with the most international students in Indonesia, which is about 1,500 students per year, coming from various regions, including Europe, UK, Australia, America, Russia, China and Asia in general.

More than 25 partners, old and new, requested a meeting with Udayana University in the event, discussing various topics of cooperation in education, especially research, program implementation, and exchange of professors and students. Rector expressed satisfaction with the response of NAFSA participants to the presence of Udayana University in the event. Various follow-up plans have been finalized, research and publication plans with Palacky University Chezck in agriculture and the development of a dual degree program with International College Management of Sydney in hospitality management. The Rector also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education who has facilitated the licensing of the departure of the Unud Team in the activities of NAFSA, the Ambassador of Indonesia and Dr. Bimo Education and Culture Attache of RI at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia for the United States which has provided exhibition facilities at NAFSA Expo 2018. Udayana University active participation in NAFSA Forum, according to Prof. Anak Agung Raka Sudewi, is part of Udayana University's internationalization policy and a manifestation of Udayana University's commitment in maintaining the quality of international programs for foreign students studying at Udayana University.
