UNUD SIGNS OF THE 28th MOU WITH UNIVERSITY IN JAPAN

Denpasar - Udayana University (Udayana University) received a visit from the Governor of Kumamoto Province and President Sojo University Japan on Monday (5/2) at the Medical Faculty Meeting Room of Sudirman Campus in Denpasar. This visit was made after several months before the delegation from Sojo University had a visit and meeting with the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of UNUD in the framework of initiation of cooperation between the two universities.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) is proud that Sojo University is pleased to choose Unud as a partner of cooperation. Rector further convey the cooperation of both parties will be strengthened by the signing of MoU held at Jaya Sabha Building, the residence of Governor of Bali Province, Monday (5/2) night. The signing of the MoU between Unud and Sojo University was conducted simultaneously with the MoU between the Governor of Bali Province and the Governor of Kumamoto Province, as well as the MoU between the Bali Tourism Actors and the Tourism Actors in Kumamoto Province, Japan.

The collaboration with Sojo University is the 28th collaboration that Unud has undertaken with various universities and institutions in Japan. Lastly on December 28, 2017, Udayana undertook the signing of MoU with Mayor of Toyama Japan in terms of cooperation development of Micro Hydro Power Plant.

The Rector hopes that the cooperation of both parties can be followed up on specific activities and beneficial to both institutions, and this friendship visit can strengthen the friendship relationship between Indonesia and Japan which this year entering the age of 60 years.

President Sojo University, Mr. Mineo NAKAYAMA said the cooperation will be focused on student exchange activities between the two universities, in addition to other cooperation opportunities. President Sojo University also gave appreciation to Unud who has received 19 students from Japan including students from Sojo University. Sojo University is a university that has a work ethic especially in terms of healthy human resources development and virtuous. One of Sojo University's international programs is advancing English education, accepting students from abroad and sending students to overseas training. President Sojo University hopes that cooperation with Unud can contribute to the development of education in Higher Education and educational development in Bali Province and Kumamoto Province.

On the same occasion, Governor of Kumamoto, Mr. Ikuo KABASHIMA added that this partnership is one of the Government of Japan's Student Exchange program. Both universities are expected to establish good cooperation in advancing education in both institutions, especially in terms of student exchange, both Japanese students who do exchange programs at Unud, and otherwise Unud students who do exchange programs at Sojo University.
