Five Speakers and Dean of Faculty of Tourism after Seminar

 

Denpasar - Monday (23/10), Faculty of Tourism University of Udayana cooperates with Nanchang University, University of Hasanuddin, and Hanban (Chinese Language Council International Office) held an international seminar themed "Chinese Tourist: Prospect and Challenge 2017". This seminar was held at Nusantara Room, Agrokomplek Building, Udayana University from 09.00 WITA until 15.00 WITA.

It was attended by about 100 participants and five speakers who are competent in the cultural context and the development of Chinese tourist tourism. The five speakers are Prof. Dr. Tao Xian Guang (Nanchang University-China), Prof. Dr. Burhanuddin Arafah, M.Hum (University of Hasanuddin), Prof. Dr. Nurdin Purnomo (CEO of Setia Tour Group), Ir. Agung Suryawan Wiranatha. MSc., Phd (University of Udayana), and Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Darma Putra. M.Litt (University of Udayana).

The Dean of the Faculty of Tourism stated that the main objective of this event is to launch the Institute of Chinese Tourist Training Center located at the 4th floor Agrokomplek Building, Sudirman-Denpasar Campus. The committee tried to do the inauguration event of the room with the holding of international seminar.

After this seminar, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism will strengthen cooperation with University of Hasanuddin as a University in Indonesia which has good cooperation with Hanban. Moreover, the Dean of Faculty of Tourism expected that students of the Faculty of Tourism, who have been prepared by the faculty to study mandarin, will be able to exchange students to China to deepen their knowledge. This is supported also by the plan of Udayana University Rector, Dean of Tourism Faculty, and Chairman of CIP who will conduct promotion to China on 13-17 november 2017 later. Hanban, Nanchang University, and Nanchang National University are expected to have a closer cooperation with University of Udayana in the form of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing and will be followed up in the form of LoI (Letter of Intent) by the Faculty of Tourism.
