FE UNUD HELD NATIONAL SEMINARY IN THE FRAMEWORK OF 50TH BKFEB

Denpasar - Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University (FEB Unud) in the framework of the 50th Anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business (BKFEB) held a National Seminar with the theme "Economic Dynamics and Role of Universities in Achieving a Sovereign, Independent, and Personable Indonesia " on Thursday (07/09/2017) at Doctoral Building FEB Campus Sudirman Denpasar.

Chairman of the Committee, Sayu Sutrisna Dewi delivered a seminar which held with a series of activities 50th BKFEB and 54th Dies Natalis Udayana University, and attended by about 200 participants. The seminar is expected to provide insight to the society that is currently suspected to tend occuring erosion of personality. This seminar was the first activity in the golden anniversary of FEB Unud which was held in cooperation with Ikayana Komisariat FEB Unud, Bank Indonesia, BPD Bali and Denpasar City Government..

The seminar presented Dr. Iskandar Simorangkir, SE., MA (Deputy of Macroeconomic Economy of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of Indonesia) with the topic of Economic Dynamics Towards sovereign, independent and personable Indonesia. Other speakers were Dewa Made J. Sastrawan (Special Staff of the Minister of Transportation for International Organization and State of India), Nyoman Dhamantra (Member of Parliament), Causa Imam Karana (Head of Bali BI Representative), Zulmi (Head of Bali OJK Nusa Tenggara) and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Udayana University. Dr. Iskandar Simorangkir, Dewa Made J. Sastrawan and Nyoman Dhamantra who are alumni of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Udayana.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) in her speech congratulated the Faculty of Economics and Business who has reached the age of 50 years. The Rector also appreciated the theme that raised in the seminar which emphasized on the role of universities in improving the economic dynamics in Indonesia in accordance with the main tasks and functions of the university that is developing science and printing human resources that are independent and cultured. Furthermore, the Rector said that the present speaker is expected to add insight for the students, so that after graduation, they have enough insight and competence to take part in the community. Associated with BKFEB, the seminar has a very important role for FEB in closing the familial relationship among the academic community and alumni. Many successful alumni will certainly share their experience in acting at the national level. The Rector hopes the alumni who attend can provide input for the university in printing out human resources and improving the curriculum to improve the competence, especially in the economic field.
