Universitas Udayana held the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, which was combined with a public lecture themed “Green Financing in the Digital Era for a Sustainable Economy.” The event took place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Theater Room, 3rd Floor of the Lecture Building, Universitas Udayana. It was attended by the university’s leadership, BTN management, and hundreds of students from various faculties.

The event opened with a welcoming address by the Rector of Universitas Udayana, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D. In his remarks, he expressed high appreciation for BTN’s commitment to establishing a strategic partnership with Universitas Udayana. According to him, this collaboration represents an important step in strengthening synergy between higher education institutions and the banking sector, particularly in efforts to develop superior, adaptive, and competitive human resources.

Furthermore, the Rector emphasized that the signed MoU covers a broad scope of cooperation, ranging from the utilization of banking services and capacity building for the academic community to public lecture programs, training, internship opportunities, as well as potential collaboration in research and digitalization. “This cooperation is not only related to financial services, but also positions BTN as a learning partner for our students,” he stated, while underscoring the importance of financial literacy and understanding the banking industry for today’s graduates.

Following the signing of the MoU between Universitas Udayana and BTN and the exchange of souvenirs from both institutions, the event continued with a keynote speech and public lecture delivered by the President Director of BTN, Nixon L.P. Napitupulu. In his presentation, he elaborated on the concept of green financing as an important instrument in achieving sustainable development. Nixon also highlighted how digital transformation in the financial sector opens significant opportunities for the younger generation to innovate, participate in the green economy, and contribute to environmental sustainability and the national economy.

The enthusiasm of participants was evident during the interactive question-and-answer session, which was followed by the distribution of prizes to selected questioners and outstanding participants. Student participation in this discussion forum is expected to broaden their insights into modern banking practices, sustainable financial innovation, and the rapidly growing green economy ecosystem.

The event concluded with a prize quiz for participants of the public lecture. Through this collaboration and the organization of the public lecture, Universitas Udayana and BTN reaffirm their commitment to continuously developing constructive and sustainable programs that provide tangible benefits for the education sector, industry, and the wider community.
