Udayana University Holds a Socialization of the Impactful Campus Program

Denpasar – The Student Affairs Bureau of Udayana University organized the Socialization of the Impactful Campus Program at the Nusantara Room, Agrokomplek Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Tuesday (October 21, 2025). The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., and attended by the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Vice Deans for Student Affairs and Information, the Head and Secretary of the MBKM Unit, the Coordinator for Student Welfare, as well as student representatives from all faculties at Udayana University.

The socialization featured three speakers: Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sardiana, M.Si., Dr. dra. Ida Ayu Alit Widhiartini, Apt., M.Si., and Ni Made Ari Kusuma Dewi, S.Pt., M.Sc., with Dr. Ni Ketut Seminari, S.E., M.Si. serving as moderator. The session discussed the implementation of the Impactful Campus Program in 2026 and the procedures for recording related activities within Udayana University’s academic information system.

In his report, the Head of the MBKM Unit, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sardiana, M.Si., stated that the Impactful Campus Program is essentially a transformation, continuation, and strengthening of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program launched in 2020. This program aims to make universities more empowered and impactful toward society, the industrial and business sectors, and to support the ecosystem of research, innovation, and national development. The purpose of this socialization is to provide information about programs to be implemented in 2026, both those organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, other ministries and institutions, as well as programs independently managed by Udayana University.

Through this event, it is expected that students—especially those eligible—will be more interested and better prepared to participate in the Impactful Campus activities planned for 2026. As the selection process involves several stages, students need to carefully prepare themselves to successfully take part in the program.

In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, emphasized that this activity is an important effort to strengthen the strategic role of the university in producing graduates who are not only academically excellent and independent in their careers but also uphold cultural values, thus contributing positively to their environment and society. The Impactful Campus Program has reinforced Udayana University’s role as a leading higher education institution, creating opportunities to produce globally recognized graduates while accelerating real transformation in community life.

He expressed hope that Udayana University can continue to serve as a beacon of civilization—lighting the way, uniting hopes, and becoming a space for the growth of positive change. “With knowledge, we strive for excellence; with deeds, we pursue virtue,” he said, quoting Ki Hajar Dewantara.

Prof. Alit further hoped that the socialization would provide a clear understanding and motivation for all parties to support the implementation of the Impactful Campus Program, while positioning Udayana University to achieve the three pillars of university impact: becoming a center of real solutions for society—addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by communities.

He also assigned the MBKM Unit Team to take an active role in facilitating Impactful Internship Programs, which aim to transform Udayana graduates into drivers of sustainable social and economic innovation, promoting knowledge- and technology-based economic growth, and serving as mediators of multi-stakeholder collaboration between academia, industry, government, and communities.

Furthermore, he encouraged graduates to play an active role in society by facilitating access to knowledge- and technology-based solutions for community empowerment, enabling people to become independent, productive, and competitive.

Lecturers and educators at Udayana University also hold strategic roles in realizing the Impactful Campus Program through research and community service that provide meaningful contributions to society, ensuring that the university does not become an ivory tower detached from real-life challenges. Students, as future leaders, should not only excel academically but also possess resilience and grounded intellectualism to adapt to change.

As a university with a vision of excellence, independence, and cultural values, Udayana is committed to being an institution that not only produces graduates but also delivers tangible solutions for society.

Through this socialization, the entire academic community is invited to actively participate in implementing Impactful Campus programs with enthusiasm and dedication. Together, let us realize Udayana University as a driving force for social and economic transformation—locally, regionally, and nationally. May this event provide comprehensive understanding and inspire us all to make greater contributions to the nation.
