67th Anniversary and 44th Birthday of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Udayana University, 'Innovative in Creating, Advancing Culture
Denpasar — The Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Udayana University solemnly celebrated its 67th Anniversary and the 44th Anniversary of the Family Association on September 30, 2025, at the Nias Campus in Denpasar. The event was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, Vice Rectors, Deans, lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, who together supported this year’s celebration theme, “Innovative in Creating, Advancing Culture.” The presence of university leaders and the academic community demonstrated a strong spirit of togetherness in preserving and developing cultural heritage, while reaffirming the Faculty of Cultural Sciences’ commitment as a leading and competitive center for cultural studies.
The series of activities for the 67th Anniversary and 44th Family Association throughout September were lively and inspiring. Ten major events were held, including the 2025 Conference on Indigenous Wisdom in the Contemporary World, a national seminar, scientific orations, pilgrimages to the graves of cultural figures, and community service programs. Recreational and social activities such as fishing competitions, fun walks, blood donations, and FIB Digitalk also enriched the celebration atmosphere, making this moment not only academic but also a strengthening of brotherhood within the Faculty.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Prof. I Nyoman Aryawibawa, expressed his highest appreciation to the committee, sponsors, and all parties who supported the success of the event. This year’s Anniversary and Family Association celebrations served as an important moment to reflect on the long journey of the Faculty since its establishment on September 29, 1958, while also reminding everyone of the founders’ mandate for the faculty to always be a beacon of culture, a driver of knowledge, and a bringer of happiness to society. With a spirit of togetherness and innovation, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at Udayana University is committed to continuing to create, uphold integrity, and bring honor to the university at both national and international levels.
The Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, in his remarks, also expressed hopes that the Faculty of Cultural Sciences would continue to expand collaborations in various academic and non-academic activities. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, especially with international partners, to enrich perspectives and improve the quality of international programs. With an increasingly broad network, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences is expected to make greater contributions to the development of knowledge and cultural preservation at the global level.
