Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Visits Udayana University

Jimbaran, 4 September 2025 — Udayana University welcomed an honorary visit from the Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by H.E. Mr. Yusufjon Usmonov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on Friday at the Rectorate Building, Udayana University Bukit Jimbaran Campus.

This visit was part of the official agenda of the Uzbekistan Delegation during their participation in the Culture, Heritage, Arts, Narratives, Diplomacy and Innovation (CHANDI) Summit 2025, held in Bali from 2–6 September 2025.

The Uzbek delegation in attendance included H.E. Mr. Yusufjon Usmonov – Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of Delegation, H.E. Mr. Oybek Eshonov – Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Sarvarbek Foziljonov – Head of the Department for Cooperation with International Partners and Rankings, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Mr. Abdurahmon Omonkulov – Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Indonesia

During the meeting, both parties discussed potential areas of cooperation in education, culture, and academic exchange between Udayana University and educational or cultural institutions in Uzbekistan.

Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the visit and affirmed Udayana University’s commitment to strengthening international networks, particularly with countries in Central Asia. He conveyed his hope that this meeting would pave the way for collaboration in research, student and faculty exchange, as well as cultural programs that would further deepen the Indonesia–Uzbekistan relationship.

Meanwhile, H.E. Mr. Yusufjon Usmonov conveyed his respect and gratitude to Udayana University for the warm welcome. He stated that the visit represents an important step in strengthening cultural diplomacy and expanding bilateral cooperation through education and the arts.
