KKN-PPM XXXI Students of Udayana University Conduct Socialization on Prevention and Control of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Kelusa Village

Gianyar – The XXXI Community-Based Learning and Empowerment Program (KKN-PPM) students of Udayana University continue to make a real contribution in Kelusa Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency. This activity aims to support the protection of pigs, which are one of the main sources of livelihood for the local community, through a socialization program on the prevention and control of African Swine Fever (ASF).

The socialization event was held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Kelusa Village Hall and was attended by 44 participants. KKN-PPM XXXI collaborated with drh. Romy Muhammad Dary Mufa, S.KH., M.Si., a lecturer from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, who served as the main speaker.

Drh. Romy delivered an in-depth presentation on the prevention and control of ASF, a deadly disease affecting pigs. In addition to the presentation, the event included a biosecurity practice session, which provided direct education on the importance of maintaining clean pig pens and recognizing ASF symptoms.

This socialization activity is a concrete step to raise awareness and improve the skills of the community in maintaining pig health. In doing so, it is hoped that the local economy can be preserved and continue to grow.
