Udayana University and the Padangpanjang Indonesian Art Institute Extend Collaboration

Udayana University (Unud) continues its collaboration with the Indonesian Art Institute of Padangpanjang through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding which was coupled with the signing of the Cooperation Agreement, Thursday (15/5/2025). The extension of this collaboration is focused on various activities for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which will be carried out by the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University.

Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana said that collaboration with the Padangpanjang Indonesian Arts Institute had been established for a long time in the fields of education, arts and culture. Through this activity, it is hoped that we can strengthen the cooperation that has existed previously, so that various opportunities for collaboration in the fields of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and arts and culture will become wider. The Rector also hopes that this collaboration with one of the best arts universities from West Sumatra can improve the quality of research and development of both resources.

In order to follow up on the Memorandum of Understanding, a Cooperation Agreement was also signed between the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the Faculty of Performing Arts, Padangpanjang Indonesian Art Institute.

Rector of the Padangpanjang Indonesian Arts Institute, Febri Yulika, said that many of his teaching staff studied at Udayana University, especially in the Master's and Doctoral Study Programs in Cultural Studies. It is hoped that in the future this collaboration can become a means of exchanging Balinese culture with Minang culture.
