Celebrate World Milk Day FKFVMH Unud held Seminar

Veterinary Holic profession interest, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, held a Public Lecture 1 in commemoration of World Milk Day. This activity is a routine activity of the Veterinary Holic profession interest. World Milk Day is celebrated every June 1 and this year the Vetholic Profession Interest is holding it to coincide on June 1 with 2 activities being carried out namely Public Lectures and Milk distribution to orphanages.

 

The public lecture was held online in the meeting room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Sudirman Campus on Thursday 1 June 2023. This activity carried the theme " Menciptakan Generasi Cerdas Melalui Susu Berkualitas". The public lecture was guided by Made Devi Damayanti as master of ceremonies.

 

 

Participants are welcome to enter the webex meeting room that has been provided by the committee from 08.45 and is planned to start at 09.00. However, due to a slight obstacle, namely the resounding sound, the event was postponed and started at 09.25. The activity began with an opening by Mc, followed by a prayer reading by the committee, Ni Made Sri Anggita Maharani. Followed by the playing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars FVM. The event continued with the presentation of a report from the head of the committee by Sang Ayu Putu Aura Setyaningsih. From the presentation the head of the committee gave a speech and greeting, after which he gave a presentation on the theme of the public lecture.

From the report of the head of the committee, this activity has a total of 33 committees including Steering Committee. Then for funds from public lectures we use funds from vetholic and from participant ticket sales. We will also use the funds we receive to distribute milk and hold WMD events at the Dharma Jati II Orphanage after the public lecture ends. After the explanation from the chairman of the committee, it was followed by remarks from the Chairperson of the SEB of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Alvin Limanto. Beginning with greetings and remarks after that Alvin gave a speech of thanks to vetholic for being able to carry out the annual World Milk Day agenda. "I hope this activity can help educate people both in Bali and outside Bali because milk is a source of animal protein that improves people's lives. Hopefully public awareness of the importance of milk can increase and hopefully their dedication will help the surrounding community.” said Alvin Limanto.

Followed by remarks and the opening of the event by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si which begins with a greeting and opening. Message from him “Hopefully from today's lecture, there will be awareness of students as the next generation of the nation to contribute to government programs, solving stunting cases in society. We can contribute to government programs by raising public awareness, especially pregnant women, to pay attention to their child's nutrition through milk. In this way, the contribution of FVM students will be realized. 

 

After the event was opened by the dean, it was followed by a 50 minute presentation of the material by the resource person in the Vetholic public lecture, namely drh. Romy Muhammad Dary Mufa, M.Sc, who explained in detail about milk and its nutritional content. After the presentation of the material, it was followed by a 15-minute discussion session and the participants were so enthusiastic about asking the resource person about milk. After the end of the discussion, it was followed by giving certificates online in the webex meeting room. It was followed by the session that the participants had been waiting for, namely ice breaking. This time it was hosted by Rai Laras Ananditha Santi and Muh. Fadly. The ice breaking took place conducively and the participants were enthusiastic in participating in the song guessing quizz that had been presented. After the icebreaking it was continued with a closing session and documentation for all public lecture  participants.

 

 

This was followed by the activity of distributing milk to younger siblings at the Dharma Jati II Orphanage which began with the preparation of the committee starting at 12.00 WITA and this activity was guided by sisters Made Devi Damayanti and Gabriella Panyuwa as the master of ceremony. Next, the MC guided the opening as well as a prayer, after which it was continued with the Speech of the Chairperson of the Activity by Sang Ayu Putu Aura Setyaningsih who gave greetings and expressed her deepest gratitude to the Dharma Jati II Orphanage. It was followed by remarks from the Dharma Jati II Orphanage which began with greetings and explaining a little about the beginning of the construction of the Dharma Jati II Orphanage. Message from him "Thank you for wanting to visit our place and I hope the event will be a success" said the owner of the Dharma Jati II Orphanage.

Followed by remarks from the Head of the Veterinary Holic Profession interest, Indra Palaguna and finally remarks from the Chair of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. The next event was the introduction of the committee and the introduction of younger siblings from the Dharma Jati II Orphanage. After the introduction was finished, it was continued with a Games Session for 75 minutes. In playing games with the orphanage children, they were very enthusiastic and excited to participate. There are 2 rounds to determine the champion in this game and each winner gets a prize that has been provided by the committee. After the games ended, it was continued with a presentation of impressions and messages by one of the representatives of the orphanage children and they were also very happy about the visit of world milk day from minpro vetholic.

Followed by the distribution of ultramilk milk to the orphanage children who were given in rotation from the deputy head of SEB, Head of PSDM, Head of MinPro Vetholic, Steering Committee, and Chair of the Committee. They all looked very enthusiastic and happy after that, followed by taking photos together and making the wmd 2023 video success. The event continued with free activities and was closed by the MC. The committee helped prepare the equipment that was brought along with the trash and cleaned the area where we were playing. Finally said goodbye to the orphanage and gave 1 box of milk for other children who might not have been able to attend and participate in WMD activities.
