HENRIK UNUD UPSKILL INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ENTHUSIASTIC TO JOIN FIELD WORK AT LINE BULELENG

On May 26 and 27 2023, field work activities were held for UPSKILL FMIPA students at LINI, Aquaculture & Training Center, Les Village, Tejakula, Buleleng Bali. LINI is a non-profit organization that develops marine ornamental fish cultivation such as clown fish (Amphiprion ocellaris, Amphiprion clarkia, and Amphiprion kaurdenii) and proud fish (Pterapogon kaurdenii), coral reef conservation, and local community empowerment.

During the activity, students were given various information related to the LINI program, facility tours, and information related to the coral reef restoration program. Another interesting thing is that students are involved in directly participating in cultivation activities such as preparing fish food in the form of abalone and participating directly in the manufacture of artificial coral reefs.

This activity was accompanied by Mr. I K. Putra Juliantara, S.Pd., M.Si as a lecturer from the Biology Study Program, Udayana University, who received very high appreciation from Henrik, an upskill student from Switzerland. Henrik was very enthusiastic about joining this program because his country does not have seas so he gained a lot of experience and new knowledge. In addition, his profession as a high school teacher inspired him to share this experience with his students at school in the future. After two days of assisting this activity, Putra said there were many opportunities for collaboration with LINI, such as the student MBKM program and the implementation of joint research.
