Workshop on Developing Tourism Dentistry Leading Curriculum

 

As one of the educational institutions in the field of dentistry, the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dental Profession Study Program (PSSKGPDG) Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Workshop on Developing the Leading Curriculum for Tourism Dentistry which took place in Prof.'s meeting room. Suata, Cakra Vidya Usadha Building (CVU) FK Unud, Denpasar. (12/5/2023)

 

The workshop which presented drg. Fuad Husain Akbar, MARS., Ph.D, from the Faculty of Dentistry, Hassanuddin University, Makassar, aims to increase knowledge and strengthen the implementation of the dental tourism flagship program.

 

The event began with remarks from the Coordinator of PSSKGPDG FK Unud Dr. drg. Putu Lestari Sudirman, M.Biomed., who said that medical tourism is one of its advantages and hopes that holding this workshop will further develop dental tourism.

 

"We hope that the workshop participants this time can listen further so they can develop dental tourism in study programs to help increase accreditation scores." he said.

 

The workshop was officially opened by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D, who said that this workshop was very important to advance study programs and improve dental health services and support the dental tourism program on the island of Bali.

"Our hope is that in the future Udayana University can become a benchmark for the development parameters of travel dentistry and dental tourism in Indonesia," he said.

 

This event was also attended by the Coordinator of the Development, Learning and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M), dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, S.Ked.,Ph.D., Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, S.Ked., M.Ked., Head of the Dental and Oral Department, drg. Mia Ayustina Prasetya, Sp.KGA., along with lecturers in the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dental Profession Study Program, FK Unud.
