Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University Holds Student Competency Exams for the Veterinary Profession Program for the April 2023 Period

In standardizing the competence of veterinarians from the Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with veterinarians from other universities in Indonesia, PPDH students at the Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine took the Veterinary Profession Student Competency Examination (VPSCE). VPSCE was held simultaneously on Saturday 8 April 2023 at 5 universities that held veterinary professional programs in Indonesia, namely in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana Kupang, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hassanudin University Makassar , Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Brawijaya, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural Institute and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.

 

At the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, the exam was attended by 48 students and was divided into two sessions. The first exam session was attended by 24 students and started from 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Before the exam starts, students must enter the quarantine room at 09:00 WIB. In the second session, 24 students took part in the exam and started from 14:00 WITA to 15:40 WITA. Before the exam starts, students enter the quarantine room at 13:00 WITA. Before the first session exams started the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University Dr.drh. I Gusti Ngurah Sudisma, M.Si gave directions to the participants to work on the questions well and calmly, so that they would get good results. VPSCE at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University was carried out by a local committee under the coordination of the PPDH Study Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. drh. I Made Dwinata, M. Kes. Like the previous VPSCE, VPSCE is currently also supervised by a central supervisor, namely drh. Magfira Satya Apada, M.Sc. who came from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Hassanudin. The central supervisor is in charge of overseeing the preparation, briefing and implementation of VPSCE. On that occasion the central supervisor also gave directions that were in line with the directions of the Vice Dean for academic and planning of the Udayana University FVM, namely hoping that the participants would graduate with good grades. "the participants must work quietly in order to concentrate well"; The lecturer in veterinary microbiology, Hassanudin University, added. In addition, according to the VPSCE participants said that VPSCE ran smoothly without any technical problems. However, they also hope that prior to implementing VPSCE there should be a try out. "In the future, a try out test is needed before VPSCE, so that the book of Isa measures abilities and conducts self-evaluation before the real exam." said Mardawa Baskara Dwaja a DVM student.
