20 Unud FTP Students Complete Ormawa PPK Activities in Jelijih Pungga Village and Karya Sari Pupuan Village, Tabanan

A total of 20 students from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology consisting of 10 students from the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program (TPB) were supervised by Mr. Ir. I Wayan Tika, M.P. and 10 students of the Agroindustrial Technology Study Program (TIP) who were supervised by Dr. Luh Putu Wrasiati, M.P. has completed the Ormawa PPK program in the villages of Jelijih Punggang and Karya Sari, Pupuan Tabanan District for 1 semester starting from 1st  September 2022- 20th  December 2022.

 

The program being implemented is to innovate the formulation and packaging of the village's superior products. In Jelijih Punggang village, students innovated the formulation and packaging of a mangosteen rind extract drink, while in Karya Sari village they innovated the formulation and packaging of ant citronella sugar products. The head of the PPK Ormawa group of TPB study program, Ida Ayu Kusuma Tri Hadayani stated that with formulation, packaging and marketing innovations it is hoped that the public will become more familiar with the mangosteen peel extract drink so that it can become a new source of income generating in the village of Jelijih Punggang.

 

 

Meanwhile, Jessica Ayuningtyas as the group leader from the TIP study program stated that the productive community in Karya Sari village were very enthusiastic about this formulation and packaging innovation because they were concerned about marketing it outside the village and even outside the district. It was suggested by Jessica that productive people who had already formed groups would continue this innovation program by seeking a P-IRT distribution permit.
