Appreciation of the Health Sector to the Bali Police Chief

In the framework of National Health Day, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University together with the Bali Provincial Health Office and the Bali Regional IDI gave Appreciation for the Health Sector to the Bali Police Chief. Appreciation was delivered in the meeting room of dr. A.A Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine, Unud Campus, Sudirman Denpasar, Thursday (19/11/2020).

This Appreciation event takes the theme "Unite the Determination Towards a Healthy Indonesia through the Synergy of the Police, Academics, Bureaucracy, and Professions in the Era of Adaptation to New Habits" attended by the Bali Police Chief, Deputy Chief of Regional Police, Main High Officials within the Bali Regional Police, The Rector of Udayana University (Unud), Chair of the Unud Senate, Vice Rector, Head of Faculty / Postgraduate, Dean and Chair of the Senate and Koorprodi in the Faculty of Medicine, Director of Sanglah General Hospital, Professor and invited guests. This event was held offline and witnessed online through the Zoom application by the Bali Police.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. I Ketut Suyasa conveyed that this appreciation was an effort to synergize the National Police, Academics, Bureaucracy and Professions to create a Healthy Indonesia. This cannot be done alone and through a synergy it is hoped that it can be realized. The Bali Police have been together and worked hand in hand from the start in dealing with the Covid outbreak and have also helped socialize a guidebook for handling Covid based on Traditional Villages. For this reason, appreciation is given for the dedication that has been given and the cooperation that has been established so far. The Dean hopes that the synergy that has been established will get better because collaboration is the key to success in being able to get out of the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Rector of Udayana University Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi in his speech said that the appreciation in the health sector was given to the Bali Police Chief who had contributed a lot and played a role in handling the Covid-19 pandemic that hit Bali and almost all parts of the archipelago. Through various activities and programs that have been implemented by the Bali Police under the command of the Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Petrus Reinhard Golose, it has been able to provide a sense of security and comfort to the Balinese people. Udayana University itself has made various collaborations with the Bali Police in an effort to prevent the spread of Corona Virus and to socialize the application of health protocols as an effort to break the chain of spreading this virus. Through this opportunity, the Rector also gave his appreciation and gratitude to the Head of Regional Police Inspector General Pol Petrus R. Golose, who will end his tenure in Bali for all the contributions and contributions that have been given to Udayana University through the implementation of the cooperation that has been established so far. Appreciation is also conveyed to the Dean of the Medical Faculty, the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office and the Bali Region IDI who have initiated and implemented this activity.

Meanwhile, the Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Dr. Dr. (H.C.) Petrus Reinhard Golose expressed his gratitude to the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University, Bali Provincial Health Office, and Bali Region IDI for the appreciation given to him. Through this appreciation, he invited all parties to jointly conduct socialization related to health protocols. Moreover, according to data, there are still 20 percent of Balinese people who do not believe in Covid-19, so it is a shared responsibility to protect the community.
