Udayana University Holds Socialization Event on 2025 Lecturer Certification

Udayana University held a Socialization Event on Lecturer Certification for the 2025 cycle at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Jimbaran Campus, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. This event is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality and professionalism of academic staff.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. IGB Wiksuana, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of lecturer certification as a form of recognition of lecturers' professional competence and a key component in ensuring the quality of higher education.

This activity reflects the implementation of Government Regulation No. 37 of 2009 on Lecturers, particularly Article 2, which states that lecturers are required to possess academic qualifications, competencies, a teaching certificate, physical and mental health, and other qualifications required by the higher education institution where they serve, as well as the ability to contribute to achieving national education goals.

The socialization session featured the Lecturer Certification Team of Udayana University as the Recommending University (PTU), consisting of:

  • Prof. Made Sri Satyawati, Chair of the Team and first speaker,
  • Prof. I Nengah Kerta Besung, Vice Chair and second speaker, and
  • Prof. I Dewa Putu Oka Suardi, Secretary of the Team and third speaker.

The event was attended by permanent lecturers from various faculties across Udayana University.

Through this session, it is hoped that lecturers, whether attending in person or online, will carefully follow the information delivered by the PTU Serdos Team of Udayana University. The aim is to help eligible lecturers become recognized participants in the lecturer certification program and eventually obtain their official educator certificates.
