Faculty of Animal Science at Udayana University Celebrates 63rd Anniversary and BK, Promotes Internationalization and Strengthening of Bali Cattle
Jimbaran – The Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University, held the peak celebration of its 63rd Anniversary and Family Association (BK) on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the AE Building, 1st Floor, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. Carrying the theme "United in Diversity, Moving Together Towards a Bright Future for the Faculty", the event was lively and well-attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Chair of the University Senate, the Dean along with the Chair of the Faculty Senate and Vice Deans, Head of LPPM, lecturers and staff, student organizations (BEM and DPM), alumni, partners and sponsors, as well as students of the Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University.
Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng., in her remarks, shared the faculty’s achievements over the past year, including three study programs earning “Excellent” accreditation, dozens of national and international collaborations, and the joint organization of the ICAPS international seminar with Universitas Andalas (Unand) and Halu Oleo University (UHO).
She also highlighted ongoing improvements in infrastructure, such as renovations of research facilities, building refurbishments, and plans to beautify the AE Hall with a 2,000-person capacity. In student affairs, Fapet students have been actively participating in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program and have achieved international-level accomplishments.
"May these achievements serve as motivation for Fapet Unud to continue excelling both nationally and internationally," said the Dean.
Representing the Rector of Udayana University, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., extended his congratulations to the entire Faculty of Animal Science community on its 63rd anniversary. In his speech, he emphasized that the faculty's long journey deserves not only celebration but also reflection on the achievements made.
"We are very proud that all levels of study programs have now achieved 'Excellent' accreditation. Going forward, our target is to obtain international accreditation," he said.
He also mentioned two major agendas related to internationalization. First, the participation of the Faculty of Animal Science in the Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) program — a scholarship initiative from the Indonesian Government for international students from developing nations who wish to study and conduct research in Indonesia, including at Udayana University. Second, encouraging the Faculty to pursue ASIIN international accreditation as a strategic move to enhance global competitiveness.
"These major goals cannot be achieved without collaboration from all parties. The Faculty of Animal Science is also expected to be at the forefront in advancing Bali’s livestock potential, particularly through strengthening the development of Bali cattle," he added.
The peak event also featured a retirement ceremony, the handover of donations from partners, the signing of a BAST (handover report) for research equipment, a tumpeng cutting ceremony as a symbol of celebration, as well as entertainment and door prize drawings. Through this moment, the Faculty of Animal Science at Udayana reaffirms its commitment to nurturing kinship, strengthening collaboration, and innovating toward a brighter future.
