The BIPA & Darmasiswa FIB Unud Program was attended by 47 participants from 27 countries in the world

Denpasar - Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Udayana University organizes Orientation for BIPA Students & Darmasiswa, Tuesday, September 4 2018 in the Room of Ir. Soekarno Poerbatjaraka Building Campus FIB Denpasar. The orientation which was attended by 47 participants from 27 countries was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information Unud, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum. Orientation is carried out for two days and prior tests have been conducted to determine the level for BIPA participants. Participants who participated in the program were from Algeria, Australia, Botswana, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech, Hungary, India, England, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Russia, Serbia , Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, USA and Ukraine. The most participants came from P.R China and South Korea and the furthest came from Africa.

This Orientation is intended to provide an overview of the profile of Udayana University, the Profile of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and also a general description of Bali and the rules that apply and must be followed during the program. In that orientation the participants also had the opportunity to interact directly with local students to share with each other, especially in extracurricular activities. The material provided in this program is Indonesian, and a glimpse of Indonesian culture.

On that occasion the Dean of FIB Unud, Prof. Dr. Ni Luh Sutjiati Beratha, MA explained at a glance about the establishment of FIB which is an embryo from the establishment of Udayana University to the participants. The dean also provides information regarding infrastructure facilities and facilities in FIB, to BIPA participants are also expected to provide input and suggestions for the progress and development of the BIPA program at Udayana University.

Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum hopes that the orientation participants can prepare themselves as well as possible and maintain stamina during the BIPA and Dharmasiswa programs at Udayana University. (HM)
