Rector of Unud Dialogue with World Bank President Related to Plastic Waste Management Program

Denpasar - Friday, (6/7/2018) held a Tri Hita Karana event for Clean Bali, at Three Mountains Bali Turtles, Attack, Denpasar. The event was attended by President World Bank, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Minister of Finance, Ministry of Public Works and Housing RI, Village Minister, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration of RI, Delegation of IMF-World Bank Group Representative, Head of FKUB Bali, Jro Bendesa Agung, Rector of Udayana University and many other invitees.

The visit of World Bank President Jim Yong Kim in Bali is in a series of visits in Indonesia, especially in Bali his emphasis on waste issues is a very fundamental problem and needs to find the best solution in overcoming it. In the discussion session, Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) had the opportunity to dialogue with the President of World Bank and asked the World Bank program in handling garbage problem especially plastic waste which is becoming one of the problems especially in Indonesia.

World Bank President Jim Young Kim said that the World Bank will cooperate with the Government of Indonesia to address this garbage issue, especially in regard to plastic waste issues that are beginning to threaten the environment of the regions in Indonesia, including the island of Bali. (HM)
