Delegation of Commission G of the National Parliament of Timor-Leste Visits Udayana University

Denpasar, August 6, 2025 – Udayana University (Unud) received a visit from the Delegation of Commission G of the National Parliament of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (RDTL), which oversees matters related to Education and Culture. The visit was facilitated by the Consulate General of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Denpasar through the Assistant Educational Attaché for Bali and East Java.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Rector of Udayana University along with related university officials. The visit aimed to strengthen ties, enhance cooperation between educational institutions, and gather information regarding the development and needs of Timor-Leste students currently studying at Udayana University.

In his welcome speech, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana expressed his appreciation and high regard for the visit from the Timor-Leste Parliament. He reaffirmed Udayana University's commitment to continuing to provide the best educational support for all students, including those from Timor-Leste.

On this occasion, the Chair of Commission G of the National Parliament of Timor-Leste, Armando dos Santos Lopes, conveyed his gratitude for Udayana University's support and attention to Timor-Leste students. He also emphasized the importance of bilateral relations in the field of education to build high-quality human resources in the Southeast Asian region.

In addition to holding discussions with university representatives, the delegation also visited the Udayana University Library facilities as a form of attention to the academic support infrastructure, which could later serve as a reference for improving services at universities in Timor-Leste.

Through this visit, it is expected that a closer relationship will be established between Udayana University and educational institutions as well as the government of Timor-Leste, in an effort to promote sustainable collaboration in the future.
