Village Development Students from the Physics Study Program Hold a Socialization of the Efficient Administrative System Program in Jimbaran Traditional Village
Students from Udayana University’s Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) "Bina Desa" program held a socialization event to present the draft of the Pipil Kulawarga Krama administrative system in Jimbaran Traditional Village. The event took place on Friday (August 8, 2025) at the Jimbaran Traditional Village Office and involved local customary leaders.
The event was opened by the field supervising lecturer for the MBKM Bina Desa program in Jimbaran Traditional Village, I Wayan Supardi. Also in attendance were the Bendesa Adat (traditional village head) of Jimbaran and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University.
Gede Mahendra Sastra Adhi Wiguna, a student from the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, explained that the socialization aimed to introduce a new administrative system to the village officials. He noted that the current data recording still uses a conventional system, making it difficult to manage the large volume of administrative documents. The new system is expected to significantly improve efficiency and ease of administrative tasks.
The system is designed to manage three categories of krama (village members): krama wed, krama tamiu, and tamiu. It is built on a PHP server using the Laravel framework.
Jimbaran Traditional Village officials had reportedly been seeking a system upgrade for the past nine years. They expressed their appreciation for this initiative and welcomed the socialization, with the system installation planned for the end of August.
The Bina Desa program is part of the MBKM initiative, which aims to promote village welfare and self-reliance. It runs for one academic semester. In the even semester of 2025, the program took place from March to August and involved ten students from the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, participating in the Jimbaran Traditional Village project.
