Student Affairs Unud Held PKM Training, LKMM and Soft-skills which is Combined with CHARACTER BUILDING Camp

Students, who would become a superior, independent, and cultured person according to the vision of Unud, are charged to be as follows: always doing positive creativity, be brave, disciplined, honest, responsible, strong, communicative, able to work in teams, ethical, and spirited leadership, etc. Students are the prospective future leaders. If they want to be a successful leader, they must have those characteristics. In order to prepare Unud students to be the success leaders in students’ organization, need to be given an intensive training of Creativity Student Program Training (PKM), Leadership & Soft Skill, especially more attractive by outbound package and in direct contact with the natural environment and fresh air. “If that positive character is built, every problems and challenges that is faced by them, they could overcome the way out by themselves,” said the chairman of the PKM Training, LKMM & Soft-skill which combined with Character Building Camp event, Drs. IGN. Indra Kecapa, M.ED, who is at once as the chairman of Kepala Biro Kemahasiswaan Unud.

Dr. I Nyoman Suyatna, SH. MH, as the PR III Unud, said that this event is one of the priority events and students affairs Unud that routinely implement the character building event for the students according to one of the strategic goals of student affairs Unud which are increasing talent and interest, aptitude and reasoning of students through a wide range of student activities. He thinks that students as the young generation have a great potential to be educated for being a positive character leader by doing the process of education and quality proper training. “In order to make balance between theories, students should participating in that event seriously so that they could be competence on the field that they took, at once, good in communicating and working with team, etc., because the balance between hard skills and soft skills are very important in the future in order to get a better carrier and society, and also there is no meaning for a high education without offsets with a good characteristic.” said the Vice Rector III  Unud in the opening speech.

In the implementation, Creativity Student Program Training (PKM) acts as the interviewees is Dr. Ir. Ketut Sardiana, MS reviewer National PKM, who at once acts as the Chairman of Developing Interest, Talent, and Reasoning Student Unit Unud, while about the LKMM & Soft Skill material is delivered by Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Sucipta, MS. Professor of FTP Unud, who is the former dean of FTP, former Vice Rector III of Unud, and former Coordinator of Kopertis Wilayah VIII. For the facilitator of the Character Building (Camp), the one who delivered the material is the professional infrastructure that is prepared by Outbound Package of Warung Rekreasi Bedugul which is collaborated with Buyan Adventure.

Training outdoors and direct contact with the green and comfortable environment can be the invaluable learning for the students’ character building. Those are the reason of the third events, which are: PKM Training, Student Management Skills (LKMM) & Soft Skills, and Character Building Camp that is combined in big package of activity that is held on 19th-20th of September in Warung Rekreasi Bedugul. The collaboration of those three events is hoped to create greater synergy, so that students positive character building more precisely and quickly to achieve the goal. Thus, Unud is expected to deliver the future leaders who are intelligent, both in the world of work and business world, said the chairman of the committee, Drs. IGN. Indra Kecapa, M.Ed.

Ni Wayan Wirati as Ka.Bag Kesejahteraan Mahasiswa Unud, who is accompanied by Ni Ketut Yudani SE. as Ka.Bag Minat, Bakat dan Penalaran Mahasiswa Unud, in her closing speech said that this training is followed by 50 participants who are the representative of Faculty/BEM/DPM/UKM which are still active and potentially as the leader candidate in each students organization, and hoped that after this event, they have responsibility to manage their student organization to be better and sustainable. All the series of activities are ended by certificating, giving appreciation, and announcing the best participants:
