Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University Celebrates the 39th Faculty of Tourism Family Association

The Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University (Unud) celebrated the 39th Family Body (BK) at the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Unud Jimbaran Campus, Friday (26/4/2024). This celebration was marked by the cutting of tumpeng by the Dean of the Unud Tourism Faculty, Dr. I Wayan Suardana, SST.Par., M.Par. Also present at the 39th BK were the Rector, the Deans or their representatives, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism along with staff and academics as well as other guests.

Committee Chair Dr. I Made Bayu Ariwangsa in his report said that the 39th Tourism Faculty Family Board (BKFPAR) took the theme "Strengthening Integrity Towards Shared Prosperity" with the tagline "Strengthen Integrity Towards Prosperity" which is a form of strong relevance to the current tourism conditions amidst challenges. faced by the tourism industry. In the midst of the rapid growth of global tourism, especially with the adoption of technology and digital advances, integrity is the main key to achieving sustainable prosperity.

Integrity is a foundational value that is upheld and is the main key in fighting for mutual success and achieving sustainable prosperity in a family environment. Through a strong commitment to integrity, the Faculty of Tourism Family Body has become a strong forum for fostering a spirit of cooperation, respect for diversity, and joint achievement in achieving prosperity for the entire Faculty of Tourism family.

In this series with BK, various activities have been carried out, including talk shows, selection of good jegeg for the Faculty of Tourism, community service, a flag ceremony which will be held on May 1 2024, as well as an International Seminar which will take place on May 3 2024. The Chair of the Committee hopes that this will be held BKFPAR on its 39th anniversary is a momentum to always improve to become more advanced, prosperous, develop in line with the times, and gain national and international recognition.

Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Dr. I Wayan Suardana on this occasion said that this year the Faculty of Tourism is focusing on carrying out activities on achieving IKU, only for two fulfillment of national standards, the first is to complete the target for internationalization through accreditation of all study programs through FIBAA accreditation, according to the 2025 strategic plan target of obtaining an AUN certificate and in 2023 the Hospitality Management Study Program will obtain it, while other study programs will seek FIBAA accreditation this year. Secondly, the Faculty of Tourism is currently carrying out the process of implementing the Corruption Free Integrity Zone and improving services. This was followed up by the signing of the Corruption Free Area Integrity Zone by the leadership and the signing of the Integrity Pact towards internationalization. The Faculty of Tourism is committed to improving quality, both the quality of learning, education and others.

Apart from that, this year the Faculty of Tourism must open study programs outside the main campus, such as discussions that have been held previously with the Labuan Bajo Tourism Office to respond to the MoU that has been signed by the Chancellor regarding the opening of new tourism study programs in Labuan Bajo and Papua. Through the implementation of BKFPAR, it is hoped that the Faculty of Tourism will play an important role in Udayana University.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana expressed his pride in the Faculty of Tourism for successfully obtaining AUN QA international accreditation for the Applied Hospitality Management Undergraduate Study Program in 2023. Improving the quality of this faculty is very important considering that the Faculty of Tourism has a strategic role in the world of tourism education, where tourism is the main sector in national development, especially Bali. In the future, it is hoped that the Faculty of Tourism will continue to improve its quality as an educational institution that provides quality human resources in the tourism industry. Of course, this effort must be supported by the entire academic community, including lecturers, education staff and students.

Apart from that, it is hoped that the entire academic community will prioritize integrity in carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Make integrity the main pillar in efforts to advance the institution, so that it can be a role model for future generations.

Hopefully the hard work and collaboration that has been carried out can continue and produce more achievements and benefits which is good for all parties," said the Rector.
