152 Students Follow the Verification and Validation Process of Scholarship Applicants at Udayana University

Jimbaran - Udayana University through the Scholarship Development Unit of the Student Affairs Bureau held verification and validation activities for student files receiving Prof. scholarships. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, Prof. dr. I Gusti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah and scholarships for the Sepi Pemat Study Program which took place in the Bangsa Room, Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Thursday (15/9/2022).

In the process of verifying and validating student files for scholarship recipients, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, Prof. dr. I Gusti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah and the Secluded Interest Study Program were attended by 152 applicants from various study programs at Udayana University. The details of the number of recipients of each scholarship are for the Prof. scholarship program. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra has 107 applicants and 26 people are accepted, then for the Prof. scholarship. dr. I Gusti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah the number of applicants is 27 people and 3 people are accepted, and for the Quiet Study Program there are 7 applicants and 6 people are accepted.

Head of BKM Drs. I Ketut Kartika on the occasion informed that there is no quota for each faculty, but it follows the conditions of each applicant. The verification and validation process is carried out in a room together so that it is more open and the results will be determined later.

Vice Rectpr for Student Affairs at Udayana University Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech said that there were scholarships sourced from Udayana University's Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), which consisted of three scholarships which were further verified and validated. The total number of applicants is 152 specifically for the class of 2022. “The number of applicants for each scholarship program exceeds the number that will be accepted. Because it exceeds the quota, the correct verification and validation is carried out. The scholarship recipients are those who come from underprivileged families, and have achievements,” he said.

He said that in the future the number of scholarship recipients for each program could be increased after seeing the budget conditions. Prof. Ngakan hopes that students can use this scholarship opportunity well. According to him, at Unud there are many scholarships that can be applied for both from private partners and from the government. “My message for students who apply for scholarships is not to lie, if you really can't afford it and excel, please follow. Lying is certainly not good and reduces the opportunity for friends in need,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Udayana University Scholarship Development Unit, drh. I Made Kardena, S.KH., M.VS said the verification and validation process was carried out in accordance with the criteria and weights of the assessment by each Deputy Dean for Student Affairs at Udayana University. He said that this scholarship is an annual allocation to help our students to achieve good studies. "This is a competitive one and there are many enthusiasts, we hope that this scholarship can provide assistance to students at Unud and contribute to the community," said Made Kardena.

He added that the conditions that must be met as scholarship recipients are completing studies on time according to their respective majors and levels. Then for the scholarship of Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra minimum GPA of 2.00 and increasing every semester and Prof. scholarship. dr. I Gusti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
