BSSN RI Conducts Cyber ​​Security Maturity Assessment at USDI Udayana University

Jimbaran - The National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) of the Republic of Indonesia carried out a CSM (Cyber ​​Security Maturity) assessment at the Information Resources Unit (USDI) of Udayana University. The Opening Meeting took place in the Jimbaran Campus USDI Meeting Room, Wednesday (9/3/2022). This assessment was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, the Chair and Secretary of USDI along with the entire line and team, while from BSSN those present were the Director of D33 BSN and the Assessor Team.

CSM is an instrument developed by BSSN to assess the maturity level of Cybersecurity for organizations, identify the GAP between the current conditions of cybersecurity management and ideal conditions, where the output is an organization's cybersecurity maturity value along with a report containing an explanation.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Udayana University Prof. Dr.dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes in his remarks conveyed a glimpse of the existence and profile of Udayana University which has two campus locations as well as the policy of the University Leaders that lectures will be moved to the Bukit Jimbaran Campus so that all systems can be integrated. With the arrival of a team from BSSN, it is hoped that the maturity level of cyber security at Unud can be gradually increased. The Vice Rector also expects guidance from BSSN on the USDI Team so that cyber security can be improved as well as directions for improving the existing system at Udayana University.

Meanwhile, Director of D33 BSSN Giyanto Awan Sularso, S.Kom.,M.M. said that this activity was one of the implementations of the MoU that had been signed and had previously been followed up by signing an electronic certificate. Furthermore, the Director of D33 explained about the organization and working procedures of BSSN. On that occasion the Director of D33 also said that in 2021 there will be around 1,652,521,839 cyber attack anomalies, the highest in the academic field of around 37.77 percent. For this reason, BSSN is very intense in carrying out activities like this which are prioritized in several universities, one of which is Udayana University. He hopes that this activity can serve as an early warning to improve cyber security.

The CSM assessment will take place over three days (8-10 March 2022). In this assessment activity, it begins with an explanation from the BSSN, followed by an explanation of the electronic system managed by Unud and the categorization of the Electronic System by the BSSN. The assessments carried out are the assessment of governance and identification aspects, assessment of detection aspects, and assessment of response aspects.
